At the Nigerian Industry Standards Awards (NISA), we believe that industry excellence should not only be recognized but also used as a platform for societal transformation.

As part of our commitment to fostering sustainable growth, innovation, and responsible business practices, we have established the following corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives to give back to society and strengthen industries across Nigeria.

NISA Future Leaders & Youth Empowerment

Goal: To mentor, train, and empower young professionals for leadership roles in various industries.
  1. We are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of industry leaders through mentorship, skills development, and career-building opportunities.
  2. NISA Future Leaders Program: A mentorship initiative connecting young professionals with industry experts for guidance and career development.
  3. Internship & Apprenticeship Placements: Partnering with award-winning organizations to offer hands-on experience for students and graduates.
  4. Scholarships & Educational Grants: Providing financial support to students pursuing careers in high-impact industries such as technology, engineering, and business.
Short-Term

  • Launch the NISA Future Leaders Program by identifying and onboarding industry mentors.
  • Announce internship partnerships with award-winning companies.
  • Establish a scholarship committee to identify deserving beneficiaries.
Mid-Term
(6-12 Months)


  • Conduct mentorship sessions and career development workshops.
  • Place interns in partner organizations and monitor their progress.
  • Disburse scholarships and ensure proper tracking of recipients.
Long-Term
(12+ Months)


  • Expand the program by adding more industries and increasing the number of scholarship beneficiaries.
  • Establish an alumni network for previous program participants to support new entrants.

Safety Awareness & Workplace Training

Goal: To improve workplace safety standards and emergency preparedness in industries.
  1. NISA prioritizes workplace safety and employee well-being by educating businesses and communities on best safety practices.
  2. Workplace Safety Campaigns: Conducting training sessions and awareness programs to promote industry safety standards.
  3. Safety Certification for SMEs: Offering subsidized training for small businesses to ensure compliance with national and global safety regulations.
  4. Emergency Preparedness & First Aid Training: Equipping communities and workplaces with essential safety skills to prevent and respond to emergencies effectively.

  • Develop and distribute Workplace Safety Guides for industries. .
  • Host a Safety Training Webinar Series for businesses and SMEs.
  • Partner with safety organizations to create a Safety Certification Program for SMEs.

  • Organize physical safety training workshops in different cities.
  • Implement emergency preparedness & first aid training for corporate and community leaders.
  • Establish an annual NISA Workplace Safety Award to recognize companies with the best safety standards.

  • Develop an online safety training platform to reach a wider audience.
  • Lobby for improved industry safety policies in collaboration with regulatory agencies.

Business Development & Startup Support

Goal: To empower SMEs and startups through mentorship, funding, and training.
  1. As a champion of entrepreneurship, NISA is committed to fostering business growth and innovation across industries. .
  2. NISA Business Accelerator: A program providing mentorship, funding, and industry insights to help startups scale. .
  3. SME Capacity-Building Workshops: Offering free and subsidized training in areas such as financial management, business strategy, and digital transformation. .
  4. Annual Grants for Outstanding Entrepreneurs: Supporting entrepreneurs in key sectors like technology, agriculture, and manufacturing with financial and advisory assistance.

  • Launch the NISA Business Accelerator and open applications for startups.
  • Identify key industries and select promising startups for mentorship.
  • Plan SME capacity-building workshops on finance, branding, and compliance.

  • Provide funding and mentorship to startups selected for the accelerator.
  • Partner with investors and industry leaders for continued business growth support.
  • Host an Annual Business Pitch Competition with grants for outstanding entrepreneurs.

  • Establish a business incubator hub for startups under the NISA umbrella.
  • Expand partnerships to include international investors and venture capitalists.

Environmental Sustainability & Green Industry Initiatives

Goal: To promote sustainable business practices and environmental responsibility.
  1. NISA encourages businesses to adopt environmentally responsible practices that support a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable Nigeria.
  2. Green Business Awards & Support: Recognizing and incentivizing companies with outstanding environmental sustainability efforts.
  3. Tree Planting & Waste Management Programs: Partnering with organizations to promote sustainable waste management and afforestation.
  4. Renewable Energy Advocacy: Encouraging the adoption of clean energy solutions within industries through awareness campaigns and collaborations.

Health & Well-being Programs

Goal: To enhance workplace and community health through awareness and initiatives.
  1. We believe that a healthy workforce is a productive workforce and are committed to supporting initiatives that improve workplace and community well-being.
  2. Workplace Wellness Initiatives: Advocating for employee mental health support programs in corporate environments.
  3. Community Health Outreach: Organizing medical checkups, awareness programs, and CSR projects to improve public health.
  4. Support for Occupational Health & Safety: Partnering with regulatory bodies to enhance workplace safety regulations and compliance.

Women & Youth Empowerment in Industry

Goal: To promote gender equality and youth inclusion in industry leadership.

  2. Women in Leadership Program: Providing mentorship, training, and recognition for women in traditionally male-dominated industries.
  3. STEM Education & Training for Young Girls: Encouraging and supporting women to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
  4. Entrepreneurial Grants for Women & Youth: Funding and supporting female entrepreneurs and young business owners to drive economic growth.

  4. Recognition & Support for Indigenous Technology: Promoting locally developed solutions that drive industry advancement and economic sustainability.

Community Development & Infrastructure Support

Goal: To improve living standards and infrastructure in underserved communities.
  1. We strive to enhance community development by investing in infrastructure, education, and vocational training.
  2. Support for Vocational & Technical Training Centers: Partnering with institutions to equip young people with hands-on, employable skills.
  3. Infrastructure Development in Underserved Communities: Improving access to essential services such as clean water, electricity, and digital connectivity.
  4. Support for Disaster Relief & Recovery: Providing aid to communities affected by natural disasters or industry-related emergencies.

Ethical & Responsible Industry Practices

Goal:To promote integrity, compliance, and diversity in businesses.

  2. Anti-Corruption & Transparency Advocacy: Promoting corporate governance and ethical business practices through education and policy engagement.
  3. Industry Standards & Compliance Workshops: Providing resources and training to ensure businesses meet regulatory and industry compliance standards.
  4. Diversity & Inclusion Programs: Advocating for workplace policies that promote equal opportunities and diverse leadership.
