Our History

The Nigerian Industry Standards Awards (NISA) was originally established in 2009 as the Nigerian National Legacy Awards (NNLA), a prestigious initiative aimed at recognizing outstanding achievements in business, governance, and leadership.

Over the years, the awards evolved to reflect the changing landscape of Nigeria’s industrial and corporate sectors, leading to its rebranding as the Nigerian Industry Standards Awards (NISA).

The transition from NNLA to NISA was driven by the need to create a more structured, industry-specific, and globally competitive awards platform that aligns with international standards. This shift allowed the awards to expand its scope, introducing sector-focused recognitions that cater to Nigeria’s diverse economy, including manufacturing, finance, technology, healthcare, energy, real estate, and more.

Since its inception, NISA has grown into one of the most anticipated and respected recognition platforms in Nigeria, attracting key industry players, corporate leaders, policymakers, and government officials. The awards have continuously evolved to maintain their credibility and relevance, ensuring that only the most deserving individuals and organizations are honored for their contributions to industry excellence and national development.
